Radia #980 - Duuu Zéro Propos Compilation by Gaël Bandelier & Gilles Furtwängler

Zéro Propos is a Lausanne-based hyperjective poetry group created in 2020 by Gäel Bandelier and Gilles Furtwängler. Following three residencies at *Duuu radio in Paris in 2021 and 2022, the group gave birth to the Zéro Propos. Zéro titre project, which is a double album of 13 tracks.

From scraps of sentences picked up in the street, on the internet, everywhere, they write with four hands, little by little, cutting, pasting, adding, mixing words and phonemes. The result is a material of sentences mixing everyday life, concrete and abstract poetry.

Composed by Gaël Bandelier and Gilles Furtwängler of Zéro Propos, and performed by Gaël Bandelier, Rachel Bazaïda, Sarah Calas, Martine Chesnau, Sarah Salomé Delétain, Gilles Furtwängler, Delphine Herscovici, Lucienne Larue, Michel Larue, Angeline Ostinelli, Anne-Marie Petit, Clara Rodriguez and Marielle Soca.

Dronica meets event curators, creative directors and labels owners in 2021.

In this episode, Dronica meets Rick Vayo, co-founder and curator of Inveterate, an independent label based in London and founded by Tapefeed.

Rick Vayo is 1/2 of Tapefeed who started the solo project to release music material with no sonic boundaries in order to be able to experiment with sound further by blending genres and giving voice to all his different musical influences.

With Inveterate they will be focusing on releasing and supporting artists that share their sonic views and that can help them shape the label sound further with the aim of pushing the boundaries of techno by inviting producers to break the rules, to think outside the box, pushing creativity, and thus finding new and unexpected elements. Ultimately, they want to bring freshness and novelty to this genre and to their scene.

Inveterate: WE ARE CURSED, MORE THAN JUST A HABIT, MORE THAN AN ADDICTION, WE ARE INCURABLE.

Asphyxia: The "Idiote", the Library Wifi and the Suppressed Safe #19 - Caduceus

Sideways research continues apace... This instalment of Asphyxia sees the return of a mysterious polymath possessed of unspecific 'inside information'.

Chit-chat about data security ensues (covertly recorded, ironically). Following this, the narrator bluffs his way past the security cabin at the Midland Road entrypoint to the British Library's goods yard, where a bin-dive yields an unknown writer's diaries, discarded by the library for uncertain reasons.

Meanwhile, the use of tin-foil to eliminate electromagnetic interference is trialled upon the narrator's Zoom recorder which is susceptible to 50Hz hum.

Originally commissioned in 2022 as part of Radio Art Zone's tapestry of 22-hour radio productions, this project by Daniel R. Wilson is re-presented here in episodic form. Asphyxia hacks the antagonising systems which thwart and forestall projects (its name also acknowledges the asphyxiating atmosphere of long-form radio when made by a single person). It is a damaged would-be radio documentary exploring the Narnia of restricted access material and gatekept employment.
