Colliding Lines #16 - You Won't Find Me Here

This month we celebrate the release of H O M E, a new anthology of visual poetry featuring eleven collaborations between designers and poets. Graphic artists reinterpret the poets' words into a new visual piece, created between the two mediums, so this month we started with the question: what makes meaningful design? Introducing some of our poets to their corresponding designers for the first time, the show features work by Nikki Marrone, Daisy Thurston-Gent, Iris Colomb and Wesley Freeman-Smith.

The anthology is scored in an audio interpretation by Nick Murray, and we are joined by featured poet-musicians Antosh Wojcik and Aidan Baker – talking about Nadja's new record Luminous Rot.

Colliding Lines present live sessions, cross-genre collaborations and left-field recordings drawn from the London, UK and international experimental scenes; a long-form love letter to recorded audio as soundtrack, as sound art and as storyteller.

Radio Concrete #51 - Karmen Ponikvar

In this episode: a symphony of clicks and bleeps echoing from the voltage control studio, modulated field recordings, disembodied voices, re-mixed radio samples and cassette sounds.

Through decontextualization and reconstruction, I aim to translate the environment and its natural state of disorder. Tape manipulation, tape loops and sampling techniques are used.

Juxtaposing raw, unaltered material and its modulated counterparts serves to create a dynamic interplay, inviting listeners to traverse the boundaries between real and imaginary.

Samples from: Female voice and viola, The Swamp in June, Jingles & Génériques, Radio Play Excerpt by Ulrike Haage on Eva Hesse, 180º, Jaap Vink and Recording of Shortwave Numbers Stations.

Radio Concrete by Hagai Izenberg is a monthly experimental radio show which deals with live mixing and processing of field recordings together with radio broadcasting and concrete sounds. Fresh raw materials including everyday sounds, samples from tv & radio, news editions and advertisements are all gathered on a regular basis and then mixed together with live sources (FM and AM stations and other live online streaming sources) and objects (such as amplified/hacked toys).

ENGLAND'S COUNCIL OF LEGISLATION AND GOVERNING BODY OF HYPERREAL SIMULATIONS AND CONSTRUCTS #2 - Song of Songs: Sampling From the Unified Field of Arts

"again finished in the morning, the new mix is featuring tracks where i messed up the code and instead of artificial intelligence/GANsynth minstrels playing gittern it drifts in and out digital noise + ml generated happy hardcore tunes i nicked from secret hacker discord socities, some panharmonium ambient/modular ramblings, garden party jams with annoying neighbours (the other day my annoying neighbours were having a garden party -and im the one who supposedly is loud- and a song they were playing were in sync with my sketch.

i tried to record but failing i knocked their door and telling the situation they told me the track name but i asked for them to play it one more time but louder so i can record it from my room with the bird sounds involved cause it initially was like that, though when i played it back from my window they texted me to tell that it sucks) and even relatively a four-on-the-floor-ish tune from the upcoming album - which strongly resembles another alias and therefore am a bit reluctant about. the title 'Song of Songs' is inspired by the British Surrealist artist, Ithell Colquhoun. war x"
