Sound+Environment Radio #1
Sound+Environment Radio broadcasts work that explores ways that sound can deepen our understanding of environments and the communities inhabiting them. Works broadcast are from those submitted to the Sound+Environment Symposium held bi-annually in Newcastle upon Tyne. They span a range of disciplines across arts and science - archaeology, architecture landscape and planning, biology, computing, engineering, ecology, fine art, geography, heritage studies, history, law, music, and physics. Supported by the Sound+Environment Research Group within the Centre for Landscape at Newcastle University.
This episode features Staging Post by Rob Blazey and Dawn Chorus Perception by Simon le Boggitt and was curated by Martin Eccles.
These works were submitted to the Sound+Environment Symposium in September 2025, hosted by Newcastle University’s Sound and Environment Research Group.
