Mitamine Lab #11 - The clamorer, the initiator, direct action by Mim

‘The workers, the most absolutely necessary part of the whole social structure, without whose services none can either eat, or clothe, or shelter himself, are just the ones who get the least to eat, to wear, and to be housed withal—to say nothing of their share of the other social benefits which the rest of us are supposed to furnish, such as education and artistic gratifications.’

MitamineLab presents a music selection inspired by Voltairine de Cleyre (1866- 1912) overlooked freethinker, anarchist, and feminist that encouraged tolerance of a variety of methods of achieving liberty. Her powerful essays include attacks on government control of education and also reflects an energetic love of music and nature.

Mitamine Lab has also included La Société du Spectacle by Guy Debord, a very popular and frequent text between the modern human thinkers, embodying consumerism as a reproduction of a society and economy that has taken the idea of the spectacle to the extreme.

Mitamine Lab is a culture laboratory based in Mexico City which blends sound archives with contemporary music and literature.
