An unnamed narrator moves house and pieces together a world of recording devices, names, crime, real-world characters and media from across the globe, featuring 10-second audio extracts from over 6000 individual videos found online, original sound recordings, music, hand-held camera audio and writing. A Sonorous Expedition #1 - To Live In Perfect Harmony With Nature

The first of three radio broadcasts: a conversation between La Wayaka Current, Ana Carolina Rodrigues and members of the Guna Yala community who are dedicated to working with sustainable, ecological and cultural tourism. Having fought as part of a revolution in 1925 to protect their way of life, they became the first politically autonomous indigenous people in Latin America. They protect a territory encompassing coastline, rainforest and more than 360 individual islands.


A Sonorous Expedition presents a sound and visual, ecological and social research journey in Panama as a transformation to the environment of the Maxilla Space in London. In Panama, Ana Carolina was based in the indigenous community of Guna Yala, which encompasses rainforest and covers much of Panama’s eastern Caribbean coast; the aim was to learn from the indigenous community ecological and sustainable ways of living.

Tyneside Sounds Society #13 - Tynedale Sounds

This show is dedicated to the sounds of Tynedale in the North East of England.

Tynedale is to the west of Tyneside in South West Northumberland and is marked by the spilt in the River Tyne - which turns intro River Tyne North & South. It's main centre is Hexham, it includes towns and villages like Wylam, Corbridge, St John Lee, Juniper, Haltwhistle and Bardon Mill. Part of Hadrian's Wall runs through it. It was a former local government district with a population of 58,000 it's now part of Northumberland.

The show is a mix of field recordings made by participants of number of Record-A-Thons in Hexham and around Tynedale.

There'll be an exhibition dedicated to Tynedale Sounds at Queen's Hall Arts Centre in Hexham that opens 4 August and runs until 8 September.
