An island beyond the north coast of Scotland, the north-west of the Orkney archipelago. Three times I walk the island edge: stones, rocks, waves, sand beaches. Knock, sing and sigh to the backdrop of a day on the marsh by the loch. Twenty-four hours, once upon a day on Papay.
