The Outerglobe & Rogue Planets for War Child at St Matthias Church
Debbie Golt of Resonance FM's The Outerglobe hosts a unique evening of music, film and conversation live from St Matthias Church, Stoke Newington, in support of War Child. Marking the forthcoming release of They: Dog – a five-year interdisciplinary collaboration between artist Frank Malachi and filmmaker Mia Michelino – the evening opens with a live performance by Frank, presenting songs, spoken word, field recordings and experimental compositions shaped by site-specific recording processes. The album explores themes of memory, landscape, belonging and transformation.
Following the performance, audiences at the venue will experience a screening of Where Water Goes, Life Will Follow, a documentary directed by Mia Michelino and produced by Upstart. Filmed across São Miguel Island in the Azores, the film documents the artistic residency How To Walk On All Fours, tracing the creative journey that gave rise to the album through recordings made inside several 15th-century churches.
This special event offers an early glimpse into the world of They: Dog while raising vital funds for War Child, who support children impacted by conflict around the world.
