Independent Community Radio Network # The Lake Radio

The Independent Community Radio Network is a non-profit organisation and web radio network founded in 2022. It connects and supports radio stations from across Europe to foster sustainability, cross-regional collaboration, and knowledge-sharing in independent radio and community media. While its roots are in the Baltic-Nordic region, its network has expanded internationally, reflecting the growing need for cooperation in our field.

For this 2025 holiday period, Resonance presents a special selection of live broadcasts from across Europe by the network, featuring radio artworks, sound art, experimental music and new literature in a series of 24 hour transmissions between 25 December and 11 January 2026.

Today: The Lake Radio is an independent online community radio station based in Copenhagen, Denmark. The station continually broadcasts an eclectic but deeply curated stream of experimental, alternative and avant-garde music and sound art as well as mixtapes and hosted programmes, in a randomised stream. No one knows what The Lake plays next.
